Elise is based in Oakland California and has been working in the field of design for the past 15+ years. She is a problem solver that believes in craftsmanship and the ability for design to make technology more human. In her career she has led work across an array of brands.
Currently Elise is a Senior Design Director at Nike, where she leads the commerce experience on Nike.com and the Nike App. Prior to Nike, Elise led the Community Platform and Hosting team at Airbnb, where she built products and programs to support the Hosting community. Elise has also led design teams at a number of agencies such as Odopod and AKQA where she focused on bringing brands to life through digital experience.
Throughout her career Elise has been an ambassador for designer career growth and has led a number of initiatives such as the creation of career frameworks, best practices for hiring designers, design mentorship, and more. Elise has a deep passion for developing healthy and highly functioning teams while fostering an environment where future leaders can grow and thrive.
When Elise is not working you can find her exploring the outdoors, taking photos, and creating personal design and artwork.
